OK, due to my location I am going to use a local dealer to do my 1st service. He recommends I use only 75% synthetic oil on my 1st service. My question is "Is this 'OK'?" Any knowledgeable mechanics please advise!

Thanks in advance.

He's talking out of his arse. A dealer should know better. I'll give leeway to those dealers who use 10W-40 (fully synth) in everything - but to suggest 25% dino *on purpose* is not on. And I bet he'd charge more for the dilution...

If you look in your owners manual you will see that piaggio lists the recommended oil as - eni i-Ride PG 5W-40 has been formulated using synthetic base oils for high performance four-stroke engines of motorcycles.

The oil is synthetic not fully synthetic
