i have a 09 Fly 50 4T with 700 miles only. it can not start.
it was still working since last Sep. 13.

i have replaced new spark plug, battery charged, tried kick start with NO cranks. cleaned the carburetor with air gun only.
when i press auto start button i can hear clicks sometimes.

i guess it s the electrical problems

i dont know what else i can do, any advice ....so please help !

problem i have seen before:
it will cut off the engine when i accelerate from stop. so i just adjusted the idle speed.

Was the battery allowed to discharge all the time since last September? If so, it is toast, regardless if you have 'charged' it. Replace, and next year leave it on a battery tender over the winter.

If that's not the case, check for a loose or corroded connection between the battery and the starter motor, including the starter relay contacts. At the very least you should be hearing the starter motor turning over the engine briskly.

Thank you for the reply, can I use a car battery to start the scooter just to see if the problem lies within the scooter battery? If so, I will know for sure that the battery is dead and need to be replace.

Also, after "charging" the battery the lights and horn turn on but after two days is drained. Does that mean that is a battery problem?

I did not know about the battery tender. So you mean I have to leave it charging during the winter.

It sounds like you've killed the battery and it's most likely no longer holding a charge. I would not recommend using your car batter to start the scooter. You might need to buy a new battery.

When you can, I'd purchase one of these..

Inexpensive and worth every penny.

Depending on the model you buy there are a multitude of connection options to charge the battery. It also continues to trickle a charge to the battery in a safer manner over long periods of inactivity (winter).

Whereas I'd say you can happily use a car battery to start the scoot. Done it many a time in the past, no worries.

Motobatt is the brand to get, if you might abuse it again (it's quite tolerant. ).

Don't go by their web-page suggestions - go by dimensions and get the biggest CCA (or AH) version that's the same size or slightly smaller than your current one.

Smaller engined scoots tend to have pretty feeble charging systems, so a good robust battery (properly looked after! ) will pay big dividends, as you won't have to replace it every year.
