Hey everyone!

I'm having a bit of an issue getting a part that I need for my GTS 250ie Super to look normal again. Perhaps it's a nomenclature issue, but TWO Vespa dealers have had trouble getting me the right part.

On my original 2010 GTS 250ie Super, the horn cover came as one single piece... the grill and the cover were fully fused to one another, not bolted together. Unfortunate events ensued and the horn cover was damaged. When my shop ordered the replacement part it arrived like this:

No little grill. What was once one piece on my scoot, is now shipping as separate pieces.

Anyway, my shop in St. Louis said they thought it was a fluke and would figure out the other part and send it to me, but they were in the midst of selling the dealership and never followed up with me. I made my peace with driving around a weird looking Vespa with no horn grill... just the part pictured above. It's a bit funky looking in my opinion.

I've been working with Vespa Arlington to get the part, and figuring the last time was some sort of mistake, I ordered the same thing. I now have two mint scooter horn covers... minus the little grill.

I THINK this is what I am looking for, but this appears to be off-brand:
http://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/products/horn+cover+inlay+piaggio+for_pi655349
and they list an OEM number underneath but I just want to be sure when I order it.

But I don't know what part that would be called/numbered from Vespa. I'm trying to get the right information to Vespa Arlington.

Please help me out if you can. Thanks!

I'm wondering if the horn cover they have sent you as a replacement is for a 2011 300 model and newer. If that's the case you can get this part from Scooterwest.

My gts250 came with a running light in the horn cover. I didn't like it, so I bought a gts300 horn cover (like the one pictured) and painted it to match the scooter. So I am sure they have given you the wrong cover.

But the original gts300 cover had the grill built in. That one is the very latest which has a separate chrome grill that clips in. I would love one like that with the chrome grill.

Mike, sorry if I bring up your post but I'd like to do the same with my 250...
What have you done with the original light ? Is it attached to the 250 horn cover or have you figured out a way to still have it with the 300 horn cover installed?
I'm curious since I couldn't find in this forum anyone who wanted to do this and you're the first one...
Thanks for any help you'll be able to give!
