Modern Vespa

My new Primavera arrived today, did my first 5 mile trip to downtown. What a difference 8 years makes (between my LX 150 and this!). Better brakes, especially the rear, need to bed in the front brake. Instant throttle response, haven't ridden the 150 ie but suspect the FI is mostly responsible. Soo much smoother over all out little bumps, dips and potholes in this little town. Doesn't turn as well, that would be the longer wheelbase, definitely noticeable. Luckily it's my day off today so out to put on the next heat cycle!

It seems all the new owners of the Primavera I have read about on this forum are buying white. Any reason why you did?

I must admit that I prefer Midnight Blue but it doesn't appear to be coming to Canada. White is definitely my second choice.

I was debating between the white and the red but the white one with the red seat just looked so clean and elegant. And....I just loved the name "montebianco".....

Awesome. How does it ride compared to the LX?

Much more stable, not as quick turn-in, more compliant over bumps, much better throttle response and bottom end power. Seems a little weak higher up in the power curve but haven't let her rev out yet, probably a break-in thing. Exhaust sound much better, a little raspier. Better seating position. Still only 25 miles on her. Tomorrow I will see how the lights work when I take her to work.

My local Vespa dealer advised that Canada is getting red, white and black. Maybe you'll have other options on the West Coast.

I don't like the red seat on the Montebianco white, so I will have it recovered in black.
