Modern Vespa

Perhaps its the slight Mod in me. Perhaps its my love for Italy? Perhaps its another mid life crisis?
I am virgin new to this game. I am thinking of buying a scooter and need direction

I'm guessing you're in the UK - if so you will probably be needing a 125cc if you've never ridden before

If you're wanting a "Twist and Go" you will be looking for a Vespa ET4 or maybe a Vespa LX, these are both smaller framed modern scooters, and a slightly larger framed scooter would be Vespa GT125 /GTS 125....

Looking at ads in the UK shows plenty of ET4's under £1000, but if you want a new Vespa, you won't see one for under about £3000.

Aloha and welcome to the forum from Hawaii. Yup the ET and LX are what you want. However the new Primavera and Sprint should be coming out soon. Very retro on both. However they will be pricier. Won't be able to bargain as much even if it's new but you might on the LX ones that will be leftovers. Good luck and you won't regret any of them.

You should be looking at £500 - £700 for a half decent used ET4 on ebay, more for an LX125 maybe £900-£1150,for a GTS similar depending on mileage / condition.

These are just rough guides....

Are you able to visit a local Vespa dealer? If so you could at least get to sit on a few and get an idea on what suits you for size. The suggestions already made are good starting points.

I would go with fabio on this one, you can't go wrong with either the ET or the LX, I have an LX and love it 8)
