Man oh man, this thing is a lot of fun.

I am so glad I got a shifter and a 2 stroke. You can just wind it up without breaking speed limits. And half the fun is the noise it makes. It ain't no e-scooter.

I'm in Toronto so any advice on the following would be great:

- good place to buy a new helmet. Studio Cycle seemed to be nice people. Anywhere else I should consider?

- where do you buy an Audicator? Only online? I think I left my indicators on about 20 times today.

- meetups for Vespa owners.

I haven't owned a bike in 25 years so I was a little nervous getting on it at first. But I'm getting the hang of it. But let me tell you, there is a lot going on with my hands - clutch, twist, brake, turn signals. Oh ya, and steer. I guess this is why Italians talk with their hands.

That is one beautiful scooter. Welcome. You'll start to remember about the turn signals soon enough. It will become second nature. Ride safe.

Beauty. You're a lucky one.

Makes me miss my old Rally P200E again.

I almost bought a PX once upon a time; nice bike.

As luck would have it, I'm also in Toronto, and happen to have a brand new (still in the package) Audicator that I'm not likely to ever use (I no longer ride a clicker-less bike) and I was thinking this morning that I should stick it up on craigslist.

If you're serious, PM me, and we can probably work something out.

Southeast Etobicoke. You? We should get together and introduce our scooters to each other.

I have an Audicator and like it a lot. I almost always remember but sometimes I don't.

If you want meetups, then you need to join the Toronto Moto Scooter Club. Not exclusively a Vespa club, but lots of fun for scooterists of all kinds.

http://www.meetup.com/toronto-moto-scooter-club/

It is more than just a Meetup group. You can become a full member to get some exclusive benefits, or you can just join the online group to be informed of rides and meetups.

Welcome to Modern Vespa!

It had less than 3000 kms on it. There's only one little scuff that I can find. I hope I can keep it that way.

I just checked it out and the sign up form is like a job application. I'll bet you would get a lot more members if you simplified the form. My two cents.

Sorry you feel that way. I hope you can find a club for you with a simpler application.

Congratulations! May you Vespa park grows and grows. One is never enough:)
PX is unique machine. It is excellent source of enjoyment, education, new skills, helplessness(transitional) and frustration (biannual)
Just don't sell it after finding oily spots in the garage for the third time Laughing emoticon

Gawjus...gawjus...gawjus!!! One can never have enough Vespas. I'm still mourning the loss of my GTV300ie a couple years back...but with my upcoming ET2 50 (hey, okay, it's a 50!!) I'm still back in the land of Vespans! And with each IRS refund check, I can add a Vespa to the living room!!!

Savor!!

I own an old Porsche so the oily spot on my garage floor can't get any bigger. Now that I have two summer rides, if I buy another Vespa, I'll be looking for a new house too. My wife barely tolerates my permanent state of adolescense.

BTW, the Porsche club is having their annual spring meet up today and I plan to show up on my Vespa. Should be interesting to see how much abuse I get.

I bought mine brand new from a Vespa/Motorcycle dealership in Denver CO (Erico Motorsports) On the first ride, the engine seized only 3/10ths of a mile from home. Either the bike never had the PDI performed or the Tech that did it was totally inept. The oil feed line was never connected to the carburetor, the speedo cable fell off as it was not securely attached. So, after replacing the top end with warrenty parts from Vespa of Sherman Oaks (Excellent Service). I have put 7,001 trouble free miles on it as of last Friday.

That's a pretty lousy first day. Glad to hear it worked out okay.

Wondering about that silver bar just above your glove box. What is that?
