Completed.

Well that was fun....

my part was boring .... following two MP3 scooters through the
sisters with my truck, since I'm not able to ride yet.

And I am currently in San Antonio visiting my cousin, before I return home probably on Monday.

But it was good meeting Cummings and his wife Dawn. Putting faces with handles.

Rode the Sisters both directions on Friday.

Pictures too follow later.

We rode with the cushman eagle club today. They met at a lake about 10.miles from our home. We rode about 100.miles round trip and enjoyed a nice club cratered lunch. Look closely and you can see Sandy standing at the left. We are stopped at the round red barn on old Hwy 66.

The weather was great on Friday for both runs of the Sisters. We could not have asked for better riding weather. The weather on Saturday was a bit dreary in the morning so, coupled with a couple of sore butts and some "real world" issues related to our daughter's impending wedding, having to get back for a work trip, and needing to do a bit of retirement planning, we decided to cut things a bit short.

I still believe that we need to set this up as at least an annual event. The Sisters offers great riding for all motorcyclists whether on 2-wheels or 3.

We trailered our bikes from NOLA since riding them would have taken too much time and too much toll on our bodies. Plus we were hauling things to and from my parents' houses in Austin.

Pictures will be posted as soon as I get the chance to settle back down and sort through my pictures and videos.

I will also add pictures, but first I have computer issues to deal with, before I can post them.

Although, I recently received my Kindle Fire HD, I am using that now. Not sure how to load pictures through it to photobucket, then onto MV.

Need to experiment with it.

Oh btw, I do know Cummings will be away from his scoot for a week, Marine duty calls, so expect a little delay for him, too.

I do know he recorded the Sisters, with Dawn ahead of him, as I had both of them riding in front of me ... me driving my truck ... directing them on some of the turns ... otherwise, there is no telling where we could have ended up at. LoL

And Adam from Rocketmoto, got the SPH10 to me in an overnight delivery, which I could listen to the "wife and husband" chatter and LEAD from behind on the Sisters loops. That is just the headset unit, cause I was wondering if I was going to have to wear my helmet with my SMH10R installed?

Adam solved that issue. (Thx Adam if you are reading this, worked perfectly once Chris learned how from Adam.)

There are too many good twisty roads in the Texas Hill Country, we will need to explore the next time we go. Hopefully, I will be back to riding, then.

I got home after 9pm, Monday ... after picking up Woodee from his visiting with Parker (another African Grey parrot).

I had Chris let me use his scooter for a demonstration. Since questions arise prior to the gathering in Texas about if the GoKot would fit on the 500 and not look like wings hanging off the side.

The orange bag on Chris' scoot, is my GoKot. Does it look like it fits on a 500?

The black zip bags below the GoKot are my zip bags bought through Aerostich, online.

The same arrangement from the front. The bag over my GoKot holds a sleeping bag, my BioLite and other items I need while camping.

A couple more views of my bike packed with Ed's camping gear. The bike behaved very well and everything felt beer solidly attached to the bike.

Oops. Stupid auto-correct. "very solidly". I barely drink at all and never beer so it was not Freudian in nature.

So Chris .... did my setup with the Go-Kot ride ok when you went to the Country Store?

Cause the only bag that wasn't fully packed would be the black bag just behind you.

Since we were in a hurry to put this on for those with questions as to the Go-Kot being too wide for the MP3 to fit comfortably. With the side zip bags from Aerostich, everything really fits nicely on the 500, which lacks a lot of storage space than the 400 model.

So this was basically to let those in doubt that the Go-Kot is longer than the 500 is wide, so it fits on the 500 just fine for traveling.

Especially for those that camp.

I guess I should have clarified my "solid" remark. Everything rode very solidly when I did the 10-mile round trip to the country store. I don't think anything shifted at all.

It was sad that more of us that said we would be there could not make it. but from little seeds great trees grow. Hopefully this will grow as a ride for those of us that live in this part of the USA and any others that wish to join. Thanks anyway for all your hard work funky to make this happen. Sandy and I do plan on meeting you again.

+1. I agree with the hope that this event might become an annual event with more folks attending. It is too nice a location for motorcycle riding to miss. I was really hoping to see 4-5 (or more MP3's) and a few 2-wheeled scooters running up and down the road.

yes, I had it with me. Slept in it too. Only I can't put it up alone yet. Need to work on a different set of muscle groups.

I don't know if the pop down camper is opened up in them in any of the photos.
