Modern Vespa

Long story short, I had to remove the glove box to re-seat the fuse box.

Last screws to put in were the two horn cover screws (circled in red).

The screw on the right doesn't get tight - doesn't even get snug. As it gets close to tightening, there is a little click and then it gets loose.

When I put the screw into the left side, I heard something clink and bounce it's way down to the bottom -- something fell off and the screw will not grab at all.

1) If I drive it, will my GTV explode? This Vespa's on fire!

2) Does anyone have an idea how to replace/fish/put the part(s) back so the screws catch?

You can buy those clips in any auto-shop - yes you can fish them out, but it means taking off the floorboards...

Uuuugh, I had a piece fall to the floorboards once and the rattle drive me mad for a year until I took the thing all apart.
