I don't think you can fix the plastic parts, only replace them? What happened?

That sucks and sorry for the issue right outta the gate.

What kind of scooter (vespa)? Can't tell if it's plastic or metal...

They can be plastic welded fairly cheaply and sprayed up. itll cost, but should be less than replacement fairings

Nightmare.
This happened to me two years ago when I had a minor spill.
In the photo You are looking at two separate plastic parts divided by a seam.
Part A- is on the left of the seam and is called a side cover and is approx $30 depending on whether you get a painted one to match the bike or an unpainted one. Easy fix, just bolt on the new one.
Part B- this is on the right side of the seam and is the main footboard for the GT. This is an expensive part at approx $200-$300 depending if it's colour matched or not. This is a difficult-ish change out and should only be attempted by yourself if you are savvy with the tools. I had to replace mine as there were bits broken off but I would think you will get away with some plastic welding as suggested and a touch up.
Hope this helps,
Frank

Cheap part and just had to replace mine. Another one i had to replace was the front shock cover triangle. Stupid crappy tabs broke off. Least their cheap and sorry you had it happen. BTW they come in colors so you should be able to match it to your scooter.

Unless your wife's name is Nelly, that shouldn't have been a problem. Could this have been previously repaired?

The hole in the bottom left shows a lot of grime and dirt on the edges. Are you sure this is new damage?

The scuffs on the leading edge show there was some impact. Maybe a car backed into you.

Definitely an impact of some description.
One would never crack these parts simply by standing on them, don't blame the wife !! I agree with an earlier poster that it was either there when you bought it or a car reversed into you in the last week, etc.
Either way, it's a relatively easy fix, as describe above. Good luck with it.

yeah, i'm thinking that it might have been hit but just didn't want to consider that because it was just 2 days old!

there also was an incident here in our neighborhood (upper west side - supposedly safe) about half a year ago where somebody smashed my left side mirror when i still had my lx 150. so i hate to think that somebody might have done that to my 250 deliberately. sucks man!

Hi,
I've done a bit of detective work with this photo of your damage and I think I am correct in my assumptions below?
There was definitely an impact of some description. My money would be on a car judging by the scuff marks, but I cannot believe someone would do this kind of damage and then just drive away? if you were in the car, you would 100% know you had hit something as to cause the damage in the photo, the car would have to have given it a good thump.

Sadly the poor vespa's in NYC look kinda rough. Sucks that people don't respect other people stuff but they don't. Something may have hit it but i would think if it was a car the damage would be higher. Seems a bit to low for a car. Does your wife wear heels when she rides pillion? Good luck with the fix

One of the technicians here uses isoacrylic glue and baking soda to make repairs like that. It's cheap and very strong.
