Ive been hearing that alot of people remove the rubber carb box gasket for better performance.

Is this something you heard about and is it safe to do?

Cheers!

I can't imagine how it could possibly improve performance unless it merely mitigated some weird serious issue elsewhere. All it will do is allow dirt and grit from the wheel well area into the engine intake area, which is something the system is specifically designed to try to prevent. Makes no sense.
