I am thinking to get this rack from ScooterRepublic for my VBB.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VESPA-Stainless-Steel-Rear-Rack-Luggage-Carrier-GS-Sprint-Super-VBB-Rally-GL-GT-/261213034122?

Has anyone here got one? If so, can I see a picture of the installed rack?
Thanks!

Max

I'm haven't used that rack but any rack you have to bolt on winds up denting in your scooter thru time . If your scoot is a daily rider I would use a front rack for bags and whatnot .

Front racks fuck up the paint and legshields. I actually recommend getting a rear rack instead. Additionally your scooter is going to be much more stable when you are carrying load by having the load secured in the rear. Be secure in the rear. Get a Madrid rack. Does not mess up the lines of the bike and can hold quite a bit of stuff. Scootopia makes one. There are nammer stainless versions as well. I believe TSR sells them. Haven't seen them, they look ok online if you are cool with nammer shit. Its a rack after all. Who gives a shit where it was made as long as it fits and does the job.

Thanks Vader,
the Madrid from the UK seems to be the same stuff just sold by two different (maybe) companies.

The one I looked at was a little more "essential" and less protruding (at least it looks like) and that why I was looking for a picture installed.

Pancho, do you have a pic of the bodge with the rack by any chance?

Muchas grassy ass everybody....

How would weight on the front end make it less stable ? I have found it to do the opposite when the weight is dispersed . Putting more weight on the back end than is already their would seem to make the front end lighter in comparison . Also if your worried about damage to your scooter the only back rack that would avoid that are the ones that have the twist bars that go all the way down to the bottom of the frame . If you start drilling holes your already damaging your scoot .

this is the bodge. Un-Bodging the Bodge Rear rack isn't installed, but if you see any typical bodge with a rear rack with spare tire, its just like that one. Just like this one ... http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_FohYfe3Azt8/SWmlV5UV9wI/AAAAAAAAAHw/vVRK-n9B21E/s1600-h/vespa150super051.jpg and this one http://i340.photobucket.com/albums/o324/starvespa/star155.jpg

I notice the one you're looking at doesn't carry a spare though. I'm thinking about putting it back on. you can hold a five gallon gas can. that's over 450 miles with out having to stop for gas.
