Loud all of a sudden!! - PROBLEM LOCATED!

Hi all

Further to my post about the extremely loud and quite embarrassing exhaust sound coming from my LX when accelarating, I have this morning had another look at the exhaust pipe, and have located 1 x hole approx 10mm x 5 mm, and 2 x holes approx 3mm x 3mm.

This must be why the exhaust sounds like a V8 Mustang. Unfortunately I am at work and have no way of getting some Muffler Putty to temporarily repair the holes. Does anyone have a quick fix that can cover me at least until friday? Brown tape? tin foil?

Dude there is not easy bodge fix of macgyver type items found lurking round the office. Just enjoy the bad ass sound untill you can get it welded or muffler tape on it

Yeah you are correct. Oh well, gonna get some Exhaust Putty tonight/tomorrow and will have to continue with hiding my face whilst all members of the public wonder what the hell that small black thing with an engine like a V8 is!!!

Use gungum, I did on my scooter for about 2 months until I could afford the Technigas stainless I have on now

Bought some Loctite Epoxy Putty, as I couldn't find any holts gun gum, and it has worked a treat! Says it can withstand temperatures up to 150c but seems to be holding fine! Gonna save up for a new exhaust but the putty should hold up until then
