Hi all I have just fitted Dr pulley s and new belt on my MP3 400 ie rl but there is now a rattling from the variator area on tick over . they was a bit light at 25x17 15gm but cheap at £18 about 13 Dollars off E bay BUT it stopped the rumble on take off and acceleration is smooth and fast and deceleration is faster . When fitting I lost the info card , but put them with a paint dot facing up and the slanting edge to go with the slanting edge of the cover but I think they could have been turned round with the paint dot facing at the front or may be they need bedding in anybody else had this problem Dan

all the dr pulleys I have installed (quite a few sets from mine to others ) never had a paint dot on them. Wonder if you got the bodge knockoffs.

they could be copys but they do run well apart from the rattling It says they were made in Talwan should be Taiwan think I will leave them in for now and get some new ones Dan

Yeah - never saw a paint dot on any of the 4 sets I've played with.

There are no dots on dr Pulleys im a reseller

got them out again and the dot was were the plastic had been injected in mould and I had put them in wrong. long way instead of upright both ways have a slanting edge for plate But they are still rattling must be fakes could,nt get on you site maksor is 15gm O K for 400

I installed some into my 500 this afternoon as it happens... (I bought them from Maksor).

Yes took pics but not clear enough I found my card and like yours only no colours and on front says made in talwan should be Taiwan seller was from Greece top 4 wrong way bottom 4 right

It is hard to see in your picture but do they have the side to side groove that you see circled in this picture? The color on yours also looks off but that could just be your camera.

I agree with them being the fakes.

if you look at the bottom right one it has a raised area on the face and REAL dr pulleys don't have that.

the op needs to replace ASAP

Get the fake ones out and throw them away. Dr Pulley posted on here that the fake ones can cause variator wear as they are too hard.

i have dr pulleys in my et4 mmine have no slatted edge and no paint dots i get mine from scooter assassins or[ dragonparts0204 ] there pukker!

Likely to be fakes as well then. Genuine re-sellers of Dr Pulley products are few and far between.

well there fine in my et no rattle ! ive had them for about 4months now

As i stated before the big problem with the fakes is they are to hard and wear out your variator pulley.

But dreadmatty said they don't rattle so... LOL


Take Web-Tech's and others advice and replace with real Dr. Pulleys. Or don't.

I'm going to take your advice ! And I'm gonna buy some from( scooter west) in usa. They should be real ones 17x19 / 9.5 gram when I get my malossi 190 + malossi clutch / polini 17/44 primrey gear up I will get them put in as well ! In june hopefully they will be ok till then cheers

As you're in the UK you'll get a far better price from an EU distributor.

and iff he is using a Malossi Vario then 20x17

ive got some MASKSOR thanks any way bruv ! from scooter west and thay look the same as the picture my ones i have now in my et4[ DONT have a grove and a dot ] dose anyone actually know what they look like how hard can it be for xxxx sakes . jesus!
