Modern Vespa

Just hit 10,000 miles on my BV 350. Bought it in late July of last year (July 2013) so just 9-1/2 months to hit this. Actually my GTS is coming up on 10,000 soon as well but I refuse to use it for long trips so it could take a bit to get there.

So far only issue I've had was the spark plug cap going bad, other than that it has run like a champ and always gotten my where I need to go and back. Here's to another hopeful 90,000 miles of bliss.

Cool beans! I've had mine since Christmas, and have 2500 miles on mine. It's a terrific scooter. I love riding mine.

Oh now what kind of damn fool would put a headstone in the middle of a road? It would have to be in the middle of a road as I'm not exactly offroading my BV, and definitely not offroading in cemeteries.

Wow that's a lot of miles in less than one year. I've heard somewhere the average miles put on a scooter in a year is 600 to 800 miles here in the states. Congratulations on your milestone.

Congratulations Techenigma. I passed the same milestone in March ( Significant Milestone for my BV350 ) it took me two years to get there. Do you commute to work or are they all "selfish miles" like mine (I'm retired).

My Bev's been averaging 70 miles a gallon at 8.3 pence a mile. So you've spent £830 on petrol but probably saved nearly as much in not travelling by car. (doh ! I've just noticed that you're in Canada - so those figures are probably pretty meaningless (-:

I have 30,000 on my GT200 which is my first scooter. Then 9,000 on my GTS, and 10,000 on the BV. So don't worry... I'm winning.

You win I had 2 other scooters when i first got the LX so i have more miles but i live on an island. Those miles would be huge amounts of trips around the island (if you could do a full circle).
