I was in Montreal today and dropped by Scootart on Saint Laurent. Wow, what an impressive collection of vintage scooters. I took a few photos and I thought the forum would be interested. I'm not very good at identifying scooters but I'm guessing a lot of you will know them immediately.

Drop by there if you're in town. The owner, Jeff, is a very nice guy and took a lot of time to talk scooters with this noob.

Hey snow, your post is lookin lonely so... For a newb, I'd say, yeah it's pretty bitchin to come across a bunch of old scoots to drool over and a salty old bastard or two to yack about 'em with.

For a veteran like myself... Well... It still beats a kick in the balls, I guess.

Montreal is one of my favorite cities in North America. I always have such a great time there. Next time I am make it back I'm checking this place out if I get a break from having too much fun elsewhere in town!

Sorry. Had to do it.

And looks like a great collection. Have always wanted to go to Montreal. Now have another reason to do so. Thanks for sharing, snowrider.

his restos are top notch. My buddy purchased a Primavera off him and it looks and runs very sweet.

I personally love seeing old "purpose" built bikes, like the police bikes, or mail carriers, or anti tank recoiless rifle bikes. It cracks me up how versatile and adaptable the vespa was. I've seen cops in nyc on mp3s and mall security on segways, but the charm of an old bike adapted to fit the needs of the rider is really cool. Anyone have any others?

While I loved looking at these rides, I kept thinking I could never own one. They are just too nice. I would be way too paranoid about them getting scratched or dropped or stolen. I would love own a vintage ride someday, I think I would want a mechanically well sorted beater. Not rusty but with a few scratches or dents so I won't feel bad when I ding it up.

I find that once you drop it, scratch or don't the side covers its time for another paintjob... Quick and easy solution, after the first few attempts
