Well, just had the recall issue on my GTS 250.
I didn't even realize I had an exhaust leak until about 4 days ago, and didn't expect any problems this quick. Thinkin' it's been going for a little while and I didn't notice it. It's also been above 90 deg every day this week which might've accelerated the issue as well (also likely why I was able to hear it this week too).
Either way, that's not what I'm on about anyway.
After about 2 minutes of research, I found they are still doing the recall item for free. I called Vespa USA to verify this, they ran my VIN and verified this for me, no hold times, just did it on the spot.
I called my local Dealer, Ducatti and Vespa of Santa Barbara. He confirmed the issue and penciled me in to the soonest time, confirming it would be a no cost item.
I wanted to post this because you only ever hear of customer service horror stories. This is one of the customer service success stories. I'm quite happy and relieved that I can have my scoot fixed at no cost to myself and it's taking very little effort on my part to have this issue resolved.
And this will work out for me because I have a couple of new tires that need to go on, so I'll do that before I take it in, that way any work on pulling the exhaust or otherwise will be done before I have it fixed.
