I finally managed to take "Norma Jean" out for her first spin of the year this afternoon. At last they have cleaned all the sand and debris from the local roads.

Since I only managed to ride 40 km last fall after I purchased her, I started out slowly. Ten minutes in the local school yard to practice stops and turns; then another ten minutes in the local sub-division and finally out on the road.

The winds were quite strong and even though the local speed limit is only 60-70 km/hr., I felt myself being pushed around. I don't think the scooter was actually moving around, but it felt like it. I guess this is just something I will have to get used to as I get in more practice.

I was just happy to get out there once again.

I hope everyone has a safe riding season.

You appear to have a very short season up there. Maybe cold weather riding gear would extend it some?

Lilliferd - It sounds like you're doing good to me. =) I'm new to riding my LX 150 and I feel the same about wind. Though it's feeling better as I practice and get more experience with how the scooter handles.
