I just picked this up from a coworker for $80 bucks!!!

Currently not running but last was 3 months ago. I need to create/find aftermarket parts for a headlight and turn signals and sort the fuel system likely, but that's about it.

I like the Max Max look with out all of the fairings so I'll try and rock it the way it is. It's a lot of bike for me; more than I really ever wanted to own. I'm excited and a healthy bit nervous of it.

Thanks for letting me share.

Thanks. The pile of projects is growing and my wife is starting to raise her eyebrows, but is was just too good to pass up.

I may end up just flipping it, but we'll see.

Yeah right! Good call, if I owned this property I would have replaced that horrid fence too. I take the good with the bad; huge horrible yard with really cheap rent!

sport2b - will do, thanks! Seeing as your familiar with this bike, is this a good starting sports bike?

start sport bike
this is a bit more power for sport bike starter. It is STUPIDLY FAST. respect the bike and learn your limit, you will be fine. Again it is crazy power, so please take it easy on the throttle.

I now own DUCATI 749s--a lots heavier and lots more power, but still love the F4i. Honda will last forever, so the deal you got there is unbelievable cheap. AS IS condition right now---easily $800 bucks

Thanks for the advice. That's what I was afraid of. I'm really much more of a casual rider, but it was too good to pass on. I'll give it a go and see how I feel after putting a few miles on it.

I was just flabbergasted when I saw it; for so cheap I had a different picture in my head. It's got 12k miles on it and has brand new (still has the knobbies) $500 tires, a set of replacement mirrors with integrated turn signals (not to my taste though), a clean title, and large box of mixed bits for the fairings.

Love the bike! There was just a Mad Max style bike ride down in Indianapolis a week or so ago, strap some guns/etc to that baby and I think you'd have fit right in

I like scooters
So I took a friends 4Fi out for quick spin and found that it was simply too much bike for my taste. Subsequently I gave it to my cousin who's going to fix it up like a 2006 4Fi and rock it. I'm glad this bike is going to get another life where it can be useful and appreciated.

He does high end cabinetry so it's going to be a win/win/win

I was hoping you wouldn't keep it - the power that it makes is unbelievable compared to any scoot.

Unbelievable is right, I was shocked and felt like I was almost torn out of my seat when I first gave it some gas. Its not a good bike for city driving either (for me). It felt like all I did was cover the brake and try not to give it gas, all while in a hunched over riding position. Good for some, not for me.
