i bought the scooter with 2000 on it and i do not know if its been cleaned or anything

also the screws to remove the air box, the ones with the round handles on them at the top of the airbox. jeeeezzzzz hardest things ever to get off, are they supposed to be easy to take off or difficult,
do people usually leave them lightly screwed on by hand or tight as?

thanks again everyone

Clean the foam filter with a method or your choice. Some use petrol, brake cleaner, or dish washing liquid.

Re-oil with filter oil follow the instructions on the wiki.

I leave my the top screws hand tight, but they do seem more difficult to get off the next time.

I have honestly only replaced one filter, and only because it had a slight tear in it - probably my fault when I installed it. I always clean and reuse them, but I also use the spray adhesive type filter oil as opposed to the motor oil/petrol mix.

Looks fine, I'd say that's right for mileage and year. No cause for concern. Do the clean as Midnight Rider suggests.
