Modern Vespa

I am the happy owner of a white 946 purchased and shipped my way from VSO. I cannot say enough of the purchasing experience with the VSO team. It was quite different than the purchase of my 4 year old S150.

This machine is a dream. I know it doesn't hold anything larger than a wallet, I know it is expensive and I know that some are not big fans of it. For me, the style, smooth ride and quality of construction were the selling points. I don't use my scooters to commute. I live less than 2 blocks away from Downtown Houston so I basically use my scooters for restaurant runs and weekends.


I have not driven this new machine more than 5 miles but I love it so far.

I will report back when I get more familiar with it.

They're gorgeous scooters and David & Co at VSO are the best in the biz.

Is that parked in a car park of some variety? I hope you've got good locks...don't want that beauty to go for a ride without you.....

DaveLX: yes, it is my building parking garage. There are quite better toys to steal next to this one. It is many stories above ground but the best lock is insurance.

be patient for the first 200 miles. You'll get significant increase in performance and handling after that.

I'm not a fan, but as long as you enjoy that's all that matters! The 3v engine is a real peach after it's broken in and will only get better with miles

Switch out the turn signals for euro ones and delete the reflectors and it's pretty much perfecto.

It's beautiful, though. I paid half as much for my wonderful new automatic Stella and didn't get half the level of fit and finish as the 946. You do get what you pay for.

beautiful, I had ordered one with the 0% deal recently but then had second thoughts since I already have four scooters and three motorcycles. But I had committed and was a man of my word, so I took a Moto Guzzi California 1400 in white that he wanted to get rid of for a great price.

It's beautiful. The rear end reminds me of a 1936 Alfa Romeo 8C, absolutely gorgeous, art on wheels!

If you've got it, flaunt it. P.S. One of the proofs (to me) that a 150cc is more a classic Vespa or scooter than a 300 is that the 946 is a 150.

Where did you get your S150?
