now that the mortgage offer is out there, my house purchase seems to be moving along very quickly indeed - we are looking to complete in the first week of august

my solicitor has just emailed me the list of items included in the sale - all of the window blinds, all of the light fittings, a nearly new fridge-freezer, a microwave, fitted kitchen appliances, a rather posh alarm system, as well as various sundry items like bins, garden hose, etc.

oh, and they are also leaving the garden shed (though i have to wonder about the sort of person that would take a garden shed with them when they move)

cheers for the advice, but I won't be using a removals company. I've got very little in the way of furniture, and I'm also lucky enough to have several friends with vans who are prepared to do me favours. The best part is that I don't have to move out all at once - my landlord is happy for me to take a couple of weeks.
