Did that on the BMW whilst marking a junction on a roundabout, not realising that the rear wheel was on gravel. It was a real pucker moment. I also did it on mud on the TMAX and ended up on my side. Charles was behind me and can testify.

Not where I expected to be today

i spent a happy few hours in Romford, visiting with Kitty, viewing 'Plan B house', and going to an enormous chinese supermarket.

Plan B house was very sweet, but to be honest I didn't like it as much as Plan A house, even though it has a lovely big garden. so I'm going to stick with Plan A and we'll do everything we can to get that sale through - well, as long as the building is ok structurally. fingers crossed.

after the viewing, Kitty took me to a monster Chinese supermarket where we spent a happy half hour browsing the aisles and amusing ourselves in an adolescent manner by taking photos of the oddly-named foodstuffs. I came home with a shopping bag full of exotica

on the way back I beat the rain by about 5 minutes - I'd just parked and locked the scooter when the heavens opened. all in all a successful day.

here is a map of today's ironbutt route. Billy has been sending me texts from the oddest places - the last one I got, a couple of hours ago, was from Appleby Magna (somewhere in Leicestershire).

Good call getting that done hun. Piaggio have done sod all about the paint finish on the CVT cover for years. Keep an eye on your wheel rims too in case they start to go and get 'em sorted on warranty too if you can. Piaggio don't seem very responsive to stuff like that despite all the other innovations they do well. Same with the 'new' GTS - power outlet/usb, LED lights etc, which owners have been adding for years. Keep up Piaggio!
