I am an old fart compared to the students there at St Johns.

I do like UMUC both online and on the College Park UM campus. I need to just get my shit together and make some decisions here soon. I need my scooter to clear my head. Maybe I can just sleep until then.

Feeling quite down today. I miss friends. I need to get out of the house more.. I need to get my life in order... its time. Mid life crisis and I am not even mid life.. good times.

We were surprised to be in a similar state when we made the decision to up and move here. Very little pre-decision analysis, just decided and then turned to carrying it out, which was easy peasy.

Happy for you guys.

Just a thought, but if you do something that's scooter-related - whether it's writing, crafting, sewing - you'll have a readymade market and free advertising on here...

It's parent's weekend at the academy. A great time to get outside and out of town.

Yup, complete madness. I was at the Newcastle (Co Down) airshow today. Vulcan, Eurofighter, Red Arrows, the lot. Glad I let my friend drag me down there. Nice to chill out and going on the bike was wise. Filtered past a police biker on the way home. Stopped and asked him why he wasn't and he told us to "just get on with it"...

well i'm glad my house purchase is all done but the shouting. you can't find anything reasonable or remotely nice in my budget any more, unless you go out beyond zone 6. just for shits and giggles, i checked to see what my budget would now buy in hackney - a 350 square foot, one bedroom ex-council flat on the 5th floor of a rather insalubrious estate no thank you.

Shame, I was looking forward to that.

On the good news front after 2 months of nailing it all together I've finally finished the Amerivespa/Ironbutt/Pennsylvania article for Twist and Go.

This one was a little difficult to say the least.

You'll recall that Andrew and I attended Gay Pride when I was in Amsterdam last weekend. This is the boat representing my favourite shop in the city: Mr. B. They are vendors of leather and rubber articles for the discerning gentleman (with a smaller range for ladies too). Please pay special attention to the character towards the stern of the boat, presenting his finely-toned PVC-clad buns to the baying crowds.

You're so right about air shows by bike, Doug. My dad and I almost stopped going to Fairford because it was taking us so long to get parked we were leaving home at 4am. Then we got into bikes and started going two up on his Diversion. Happy days.

I rode for about 100 miles yesterday and felt the need to strap a bag to my scoot and adventure. More long adventures are in order and almost mandatory at this point.

That's great news. I bet it felt good to be back on the scoot. We're looking forward to further adventures.

Howard came up for the weekend to help me change the oil in the Integra (I suspected I would need some manly manstrength for a couple of the bolts and I was right). We went to Dobles Honda to pick up the filter, and Howard bought a new pair of gloves while I got a jacket. So much for saving money by changing the oil yourself

But on to more important things: today we went to look at a week-old baby alpaca!
