Actually I was thinking about rigging the rear and the engine as a unicycle.

So after three weeks in my new job my Boss is taking me out to lunch tomorrow.

Is that a good or a bad sign ?

Blimey, 2 runs in one day. Its the Wasps Kickstarter and the Ace Cafe scooter sunday. I'll do both. Start at the London Eye, get there 10.30 11 ish, then if like last year a couple of hundred scooters will head to Hoxton Square. That's a new venue in Hipster Land... Have a hang about and something to eat. Then.. head west to the Ace Cafe near Wembley for a cuppa. Probably some ped heads ther doing wheelies as well. Hope to see skoks at either.

Looks exciting!!

Picking up my recently purchased 14 year old PX tomorrow (with 14 miles from new on it) so I can go without worrying about not having a kick start! Its just getting a few tweaks from Retrospective.

The GTS is almost mended too so it's a first - I have two scooters (until the GTS is sold).

I am actually quite looking forward to goling Old Skool once again, not sure how long it may last though.

I arrived at karate last night to discover that during the course of my journey some passing condor had emptied the foul and copious contents of its bowels all over my top box. Not best pleased.

Alice, that's good luck! a top box is much easier to rid of bird shit than a jacket.

fastest ride to work yet this morning - traffic was flowing freely all the way from my driveway to the campus entrance 50 minutes door to door. I think I only beat that time once or twice when I was commuting from Hackney, and that was only 12 miles compared to the 28 that I do now.

I went to Brussels with a friend on Monday to do some Tintin tourism. Two up to Ebbsfleet rather than mess about getting in to central London, and it all worked well (free bike parking at Ebbsfleet, incidentally).

As well as various Tintin landmarks, we visited the awesome Atomium (http://atomium.be/). The current exhibition in the gallery sphere seemed to have been put on just for me: 'Orange Dreams', a celebration of late-1960s orange plastic stuff.

Well at least I know what was causing all the oil in the air box, on the silencer, on the fender, on the scooter behind me...

Bill this was most likely in its early stage in NOLA. Remember all the oil? Aren't you glad it didn't die on the bridge across Lake Pontchartrain?

Woop! I definitely needed the GTS today - took me nearly 3 hours to cover 53 miles to a centre near Coventry. A new record. M6 (junction shut due to accident), M1 (clogged), M45 (heavier as M6 detours), A45 (clogged with drivers trying to reroute to the M6) etc. Times like this when I look wistfully at the occasional touring bike filtering through. I could do it on the GTS, but some more grunt, weight and storage of a bike would have the edge.

Saw the project post Sticky. Looks like you have some work to do. Just think of the satisfaction when you fire it up again after the rebuild

It will feel great for sure but I am not done whinging yet.

I guess as a friend, the only proper thing to do is agree fully with you.

BB, exactly why I bought the X10 to compliment the GTV.

You forget the wailing and knashing of teeth, the throwing of tools and the copious use of beer as a sedative. With all that, you're all set...
