When I first got the S150, at about 80% throttle, I was going about 35-40 mph. This last week, as I was nearing 350 miles on the odometer, I noticed a little more pep in the engine. I opened up the throttle to about 80% and found I am now closing in on 50mph!

Question for MVers with S150s or LX150s- when is an engine considered "fully broken in"? First oil change? 1500 miles? The stock set up has been perfect for my short daily urban commute, so with the exception of crossing the VZ bridge for my first service, I'm not in need of extra speed. I'm just curious if I can look forward to extra "zippiness" in the future! Any thoughts on the matter are truly appreciated! Thank you!

By the time you hit 6,000 km (4,000 miles) the engine will have completely loosened up, and it'll be at its best. However, the improvement after the first 1,000 km (600 miles) is much more gradual.

Agree completely with JimC. My LX150ie behaved exactly as he said. I'm only at about 4000 miles and it runs like a clock. Love it.
