I put together a pretty nifty rig, out testing it tonight and got 5x9 back from the local repeater.

Yaseu FT-60r weather proof handset.
Throat mike with remote PTT
Diamond HT-770 antenna.
Mirage Bt-35, 55w amplifier.

I mounted the BT-35 inside a Pelican 1150 hard case, cut the top out to accommodate the heatsink of the BT-35.

Mounted the HT- 770 right to the case as well.
Mounted a 7AH AGM battery in there too, so it can be self contained or hooked to the bike battery. That should give around an hour talk time at full power, more just monitoring or using lower power. It scales, so if I do .5 out the FT-60r, I get about 16w power, which is a lot of juice really.

It will all get strapped to the bike with a power plug into the battery direct, or off the battery tender plug. Probably the tender plug, it is easier to get to.

9.1 x 7.6 x 4.4 inches size, around 12 lbs with the battery inside.

Here are shots of the rig, spent the afternoon mounting the battery and talking.

Seems to be holding up well, talked/listened for an hour, battery was still at 75%.
