Modern Vespa

I have a skipper st125 engine. Will a gearbox cover from an et4 125 fit onto it. I notice they share the same gearbox gasket?

I want to fit a 10 inch wheel onto the engine. It has at present a 140 mm drum gearbox. Thats why i am thinking of fitting an et4 gearbox cover.
Are there any wheels available that will fit. I have seen the new vespa vx rear wheel would fit but don't appear available in the uk.

I know nothing about 4 strokes.

I have got my skipper engine running. Not quite sure if I have bought a lemon.
The exhaust has snapped off.
When it runs it runs erraticly at tickover. It seems to run for three or four bangs then appears to miss one then run three or four again.
I took the plug out and it was black and sooty, not the easiest
Job on a skipper St, I had to take off the shocker to be able to raise the engine to get to the plug. I cleaned it, run it again opening the throttle.
Took the plug out again and it was sooty black again. Running rich?
Would the missing exhaust cause this?

On refitting the plug the engine started easier but seemed to want to race, the rear wheel started to spin. At tickover it spins slowly....is this normal.

I checked the oil. Its very black.
I tried to find the oil filter. On looking at my Haynes manual I realised it was totally encased in crud.

I suspect this scooter has not been serviced for a long time.

What do I need to do ?

Oil change,
Belt change
Variator, clutch change.

How can I tell if the crankshaft is good ?

Any help and advice accepted.
