Modern Vespa

Saw this late 60's Velosolex Motosiklet at an antiques and oddities shop while bouncing around the Galata area. It was in good shape and was a treat to see. Wanted to try and start it up slo bad! Dig the silly ass advert attached. 8)

(Lots of p-series and Chetaks around the city too...)

I've got a '59 Modelle 1700 that I restored 20 years ago. Top speed is a whopping 18 mph/30 kph..!

There is a crowd in France (naturally!) called VSX who stock parts for Velosolex models in case you find yourself the proud owner of one.

Can't begin to tell you just how many of these you used to see on the roads in France in the 1960's and '70's. I reckon EVERY household must have had at least one.
