Quick question. Yesterday my spark plug wire came off of my 2007 GTS 250 and was then pretty much destroyed upon trying to reattach it. (Don't ask) Ordered a new one from Scooterwest but in the process of pulling everything out I noticed the green spark plug cap is not there. I just changed the spark plug out in April and I know for a fact that green cap wasn't on there then either. Question is, do I absolutely need that green cap?

Can't really help you with that one .. but i managed to tear mine to shreads the other day. I dropped the motor without getting the cap off and boom .. heartache.. Just wanted to take some of the pain away

The green bit is to prevent you breaking the black bit when taking the cap off. A 19mm open-ended spanner is to be used as a lever against the lip.

The guy at Scooterwest told it was a high performance wire and cap. But it is exactly the same length as the Skok one. Could have given an inch or two more for working room.

Let's see if anyone finds the missing Skok.
