Some annoying teen by the roadside shouted that's not a Vespa today, I just ignored him, never had that kind of cocky cheek before. Weird how that bigotry regarding vintage vs modern has rubbed off on clueless kids too.

Wait until you are a pensioner. Somehow, that rite of passage leads you to not worry about what someone else thinks.

Ah to be young again... and "know it all".

You should get a bumper sticker;

or there's the license plate frame

are your license plates the same size as ours?

Ian, does someone make numberplate surrounds/license frames that you can add lettering to? That way you could make your own.

A fellow VCNZ member and I were discussing the merits of old vs new Vespas, and my comment to him (as a PX and Smallframe rider) was that, frankly, the modern models are better machines and more suited to modern road conditions.

A few months ago, I rode down to the Paeroa Street Races with a couple of mates riding modern Vespas (I was on, Noora, my Honda Shadow Aero cruiser and another mate rode his BMW GS1150). We were all able to comfortably travel together at 100 kph/62 mph.

My stock-as-a-rock PX is happiest at 80 kph/50 mph...

Enough said.

Lol quality love those surrounds. Unfortunately the size isn't the same but will look to see if there's a UK version, never know

Yeh agreed on the vintages, I do like them but when you want to use it everyday for work and want it to be reliable and fun better off with a modern one I think.

Personally, i think it's quite refreshing to hear nowadays that a teenager feels strongly enough about anything to shout out to a complete stranger in the street. I'm afraid i may have had to go debate the matter with him though

"Custom license plates and personalized license plate frames of all kinds including European license plates, novelty state license plates, laser engraved license plates, plate covers, and imprinted products". The frame is metal not plastic and the letters are engraved not stckers 8)
