are bgm spanners better than the old school sebac spaners .... I nearly lost me knuckles adjusting me shocks .....
fitted the 2month old bgms off me bastard on the bull as the bull was spongier than a spongy thing now it sticks to the road like a sticky thing

I just use a hammer and flat head screwdriver
does scrape up the metal but I don't care

I hate those things.
Water pump pliers (giant plumber's pliers) work great . The jaws open wide enough to grab the base and the handles are long enough to get leverage to twist the shock.
I thought about using a hammer and screwdriver, but that's just nuts.

C-spanner

or weld a flat metal bar to the sebac tool for leverage and extension.
