There are some threads discussing this already, and my interest is peaked. I like the look of the hoodie, as it doesn't have the "crotch rocket" look. The reviews seem great too.

My question is, do any retailers in Canada sell this, or am I restricted to ordering it from the states?

I just want to avoid any additional taxes/duties.

Thanks for the direction everyone.

Can't answer the Canadian availability question but a quick call or email to Arlene at GoGo Gear should get the answer.

FWIW I love mine with a pair of Kevlar jeans and TCX riding shoes I'm fully protected and do not look like I'm wearing gear but I am.

Hi! I ordered directly from GoGoGear a few months ago. I don't recall having any extra tariffs, etc. Just USD to CDN.

I really like the hoodie and wear it under warm jackets that don't have Kevlar. On a few warmer days I wore it by itself, but now its freezing again.

Blue, that makes my decision then.

I've been burned so often by ordering things from the USA. Knowing there aren't any extra fees is all I need to know.

Great link. Not sure about the quality but here is another example if you happen to be an XL (they only have two left).

I am only 185 lbs but tend to layer so wear things bigger. I ordered a 2XL from GoGoGear.

I wonder why that other link did not show up the hundreds of times I searched for armoured hoodies in Canada. Great price, but i can't find a review on it anywhere.

So, I finally got my Kevlar Hoodie in from GoGoGear.

First impressions are that it's pretty heavy, yet you can't tell there's Kevlar in it unless you feel it. Ulnar, Elbow, Shoulder and Back protection are all well represented.

RIding in the heat was actually impressive as well, as there are small zippers under the arms to let some airflow through.

My issue with the hoodie is that it is solid black. Great for being out and about (I loathe bike gear which makes me look like a walking billboard/crotch rocket idiot), but some reflective tape on it would be nice. Time for a cheap hi-viz vest to wear over it, and I am set.

Overall, it's a great addition to my wardrobe. I'll post a few pictures if people want them, but it's a black hoodie...you know what they look like.

It's great, I received one as a gift.
I'm 5'8" about 140 lbs, if you go by the size chart on their site I should wear a small,(I think) Wrongo! I exchanged it for a medium, I thought it too was too snug. My friend got a large for herself, that's too loosey-goosey on me.
The moral of the story is; watch sizing, apparently it's supposed to fit 'close'.
I even spoke to 'them', Arlene, on the phone and gave her my exact measurements. She's good people, great help to make sure her costomers are thoroughly satisfied.
