Nice day out, got a little extra time, decided I'd clean the intake since I've had a few stalls lately. I have almost a full can of Berryman B-12 fuel injection intake cleaner, get it out, put the tube in the spray nozzle and grab a screwdriver. Off comes the band clamp and the K&N filter pops right off, so easy access.
It's already on the stand with the stinkpipe end out the door, so I start it up and gas it a little, crouch down and give it a shot of spray. Easy peasy, right?
Holy shit. Nothing comes out of the end of the tube but the can starts disgorging itself around the stem to the nozzle on top! I mean the stuff went everywhere but down the tube, and would not stop! What a mess its making, so I heave it out the driveway and let it piss its guts out on the rocks in the yard - which it does.
Now I have to clean up and it's everywhere. Took about twenty minutes to wipe it all off and wash the worst of it away, and another twenty in the shower to get it out of my hair.
I know better than this, I tell myself, but lesson (re)learned: any pressurized spray can of any substance should be tested before the actual application. Sheesh!
