Well, I tried the #42 idle jet that I soldered half the atomizer holes closed on.... and it wouldn't idle. Period. At all. Swapped back in the stock idle and went on a short ride. Definitely rich on the upper mid and WOT.
On another note, I paid almost $7 extra for SIP to "express speed" my package, which means shipped on the same day as the order is received. Well the order was received Monday, but UPS didn't get my package till Tuesday. Going to email SIP and bitch about, like my mom would, that woman will argue over a nickel with the cashier. |

My carb arrived yesterday evening from SIP, along with a P horncast, black seat cover, and underseat helmet hook.
Fail on Polini's part. The carb's supposed to be a Mikuni VM22 adapted to Polini's specifications to work with the LML 4T engine with a Polini manufactured intake manifold. Well the manifold places the carb so the idle screw is partially obscured by the cooling shroud but you can still adjust it, the idle mix screw is on the bottom (despite the fact that a regular Mikuni VM has an air screw on the side) so I have no idea if you can adjust it without removing the carb, and neither the carb or manifold are threaded so you have to use 2 bolts with nuts to attach them. SIP, on the other hand, throws together a nice package. |

Well... it depends, if you live in an "Italian" area then orange is a big NO-No but if you live in a "French" area then orange is the way to go... (I lived in NI for few years) (and the painted sidewalks would clarify in which area you are of course). |
