Does the smoking fee apply to 2 stroke smoke, too?

Also, I like that rack, nice and small. Most Madrid racks I've seen are big and obnoxious, sort of overpower the lines of the scoot.

I just looked at that thread. That scooter has been photoshopped. There is no way anyone can own, build....and ride...a scooter that pristine.

That goes beyond engineering, and into the world of art.

Sorry to get all gushy man, but that is beautiful....and I'm not a big fan of black scooters.!

Haaa no photoshop rod... And you're being WAY to kind.. Trust me...

It's not that clean anymore.. Scratches, skuffs, a crimp in the leg shield (wife caused me to tip it over in garage Razz emoticon)

... and just for future ref. to anyone thinking about satin black.. Looks great, very hard to keep clean and nice.. Satin is just a weird finish..

If I could go back, I'd have powder coated the whole thing... But I was so hell bent on getting the perfect sheen.. And the satin PC wasn't that.. It was a bit too flat.. But I'd have traded my quest for the perfect finish for durability / easier to clean.
Live n learn...

Cheers Rod

I work in architecture, and an architect would have gone for the satin over the PC durability every time, because it looks better. It's sharper, and different, but has the crazy good engineering of the front end and motor to back it up.

You scooters have that well crafted look. All the components come together without any one component standing out above the others.

Nice one haf. Well deserved. Satin black usually looks grubby as fuck after a while do it shows the effort to keep it clean. I'd like to go gloss black next time but I never clean scoots. So not to much point

I walked into a conference room this week and someone had drawn the crazy/hot matrix on the whiteboard, but their handwriting sucked so that video was useful.

I also bought cotter pins so I could replace the missing one on the VBB's rear axle. I feel much safer now.

In other news, this week should be the package-pocalypse. I have packages en-route from Rob Hodge (crank & rebuild parts), Scooter Mercato (kickstart gear that was on backorder from SIP, plus other bits & bobs I forgot to have Rob order, like a new engine mounting bolt), Scooterworks (other bits & bobs which were on sale) and Amazon (Trailtech CHT & Tach).

I feel like I should go buy some stuff from Scooters Originali and ScooterWest just so all my suppliers can feel the love.

And timing-wise, my anniversary is Friday, so this should set the domestic stage nicely for that Razz emoticon

My reserve light comes on at about half way. Pain In the bollocks. I usually know that when the light comes on I'll have to fill it on the way home from work the following day and normally only stick in 4 litres .

Met up with Dr. Ona and pacrat for a some tacos and a nice little country ride. pacrat's smallie looked even sharper RW than it did via the internets. The ride itself was nice, twisty and hilly. that 50s did better speedwise than I'd expected, although of course I did a lotta zoomin and passin, cause I just got flex like that Razz emoticon (til the next rally then it's back to bein captain slow).

Shit did get real though... I was haulin WOT lookin back over my shoulder to see how far behind me Dr. O was, and managed to veer into the gravel shoulder. Much high speed panicky fishtailing ensued. I was sure I was going down hard. But I didn't. Close call though, just ask the Doc. Kinda funny though 'cause I'd been regaling them both with stories of my last gravel crash over lunch...
