It always amazes me that you never see a single Lammie on the streets of Sydney but when there´s a rally there are more of them than Vespas. They come out of the woodwork like cockaroaches. They must spend all year polishing them for one day out.

Today was three more rebuild-related packages (CHT & Tach, which came separately from the same amazon vendor) along with the kickstart gear which backordered from SIP along with various bits and bobs from scootermercato.

Just for grins, I challenged my daughter to try and start the VBB. Even at 13, she is still too light to move the kickstand while standing on it. It was like the scene in Top Gear where one of the guys is too light to start a Vincent Black Shadow.

It´s true you don´t see many NSMs but as the traffic gets worse there are more and more scoots and motorbikes. People getting bike licences are at record highs. When were you there?

Found a nice long, flat stretch of road and did a little impromptu GPS of the Super this morning. Good news and bad news.

Good news: Tops out at 51mph.

That's about the rated top end for a stock 150. The LML/Stella says 52mph in the owner's manual. Anything past that probably involves you doing things and Asking For Trouble.

I had my Stella cruising at 62-65mph when it grenaded. I figure that on that scale, what I'm building now is probably more on par with an anti-vehicle mine...
