Yesterday I took the Primavera to work, that thing just gives me the giggles. Now it's already a hoot, I can only imagine what a seriously tuned smallframe must be like 8) . Maybe a 2nd one would be a good idea, seriously tuned....... hmmmm.....

Was riding today when I heard an almighty rattling. I thought it was something bouncing around in my top box then realised the back securing pin has snapped off the cowl. Had to ride home with my foot against the cowl so it didn't fall off. Always something with these bloody scoots. Has anyone seen those pins for sale anywhere or will I have to bodge something up?

Went out for a few minutes this weekend braving the low temps to continue disassembly so that I can start swapping out cables.

I walked into the workshop and hit the light switch. *Click!* ... *click!* ...



*click!**click!**click!**click!**click!**click!**click!* ...


No lights. Power to the outlet next to the light switch, but nothing to the lights. Grabbed my meter and a screwdriver and proceeded to pull a switch out of the wall that may or may not have been manufactured in Edison's workshop, dug around back in the basement for another old used switch and got the lights up and running again.

Those few minutes I mentioned ... that was most of them.

I watched it as a marathon on netflix.... after like 28 straight hours lack of any decent konk tiime made the storyline kinda vague and hard to follow.
I *may* have been hallucenating just a touch.

That's a bummer. But you are back on track. I have a garage but there is no way I can work in the cold. I have become such a wimp. I brought my scooter down my basement disassembled. I have a bulk head to my basement. It will take about 3 people to get it out this spring, but I will worry about that then. Is your workshop small enough for a little heater. I figuring MI gets pretty cold.

I needed an original V90 rear brake pedal rubber for my V90.. and Patrick (oops clunk) was nice enough to bring me one at the SF classic rally.. if I'd see if Greg at Clauss would make some..

and he did.. perfect old school type rear brake rubbers for v90 (maybe some other small frames)

It's really cool that he can do that so well..

I have a little space heater, a TV, a stereo, a couple of computers ... ill the comforts of home. Even a coffee pot, if I feel like being out there that long. It's like getting in the pool, though. Once you get used to it it's not so bad. The little heater sits on the workbench and it's enough to warm my hands up.

Went to my 1st "Door Buster" black friday sale at Sears... I got their usual email and just happened to actually look at it..

Finished Thanksgiving dinner and stopped at Sears on the way home and scored this nice Craftsman tool chest / project station (3 drawers and big bottom cabinet) for $99 and I was early enough to grab one of the cordless drills FREE!

Pretty stoked.. I don't usually go deal w/ that black friday rush stuff, but it said doors open at 6pm tonight and we were right there... So I went and it paid off.. Good haul for under a hundy I thought.

AND it's got a Fresca holder! Razz emoticon

Today I rode to work. with the thermo showing 44 degrees when I left.
My fingers felt frozen solid by the time I got to the office. Time for new gloves!

Over here, the Honda 50R was only imported in 2004 and they were only to be used on the race circuit. Some people have been lucky enough to get them plated for the road in the US with turns signals and head/tail lamps added on.

Takegawa racing in Japan have a lot of goodies for this bike, from big bore kits, dry clutches, close ratio gear boxes...etc. Very jealous, I was tempted pick one up locally but the potential of not being able to run on the street was the buzz kill.

Hey, I'm wonderin in NZ if they ever had the Yamaha SDR200? This is another 'dream' bike to run around the town with but again not imported to the US. The one pictured/linked had an asking price of $6,200 and the sale ended early, someone got lucky.

Says here it generates 51.4Kw at 13500 RPM, though I think they misplaced the decimal, because that's 68.9 HP. Even if it was a mistake and it is 5.14Kw/6.9HP, that's crazy for a 50cc.
