Got my Clauss Studios bushings today, look nice. Also had to order the Polini 165cc cylinder again, this time from Rob Hodge, since Scooterpartsco didn't feel it was important to give me any info on my order.

Made a new tip for my exhaust, didn't like how big the original one was (it's a silencer so it has a baffle inside), plus the centerstand foot would rub it if the exhaust wasn't positioned just right. Used a 1.5" exhaust pipe coupler. Not bad for 10 minutes with the dremel, polished it with some steel wool, had to shim it with a Smith and Forge hard cider can. Wondering if I should paint it, pretty sure it's aluminized steel not stainless. I bought some black BBQ paint.

NHS, Just wondering, what do think of your 4T Stella so far? I have seen a few reviews of them, but know next to nothing about how they ride, power and use as a daily commuter.

Bonus size on sale at Peps, two for 7 bucks. Can't pass that up.

It rides just like a P, stiff and bouncy; handles well in turns, feels planted and stable; the power is good, usable throughout the rev range, isn't a speed demon stock; the flat power curve and good gas mileage make it a great commuter.

After many months today I rode my P for the first time. It felt good.

Replaced the Lambretta fuel tank. Stripped the fuel tap nut, thankfully I had spares. Must've cross threaded that thing. Started pouring fuel in with the tap in the ON position - DOH! Added additional grounds to the front headlamp and speedo light, they've been blinking on me, hopefully this might cure it.

Disassembled the front brake cable at both ends and sorted out which cables in the "Big Bag O' Cables" I got from SIP were the front brake and speedo. I'm going to "borrow" some tools and cable to pull the new outers through.

Those new PTFE cables are slippery. I think it's going to make a big difference. From the looks of things, those could very well be the original outers on that bike.

I really enjoy working on things when there isn't a deadline and it's not a vehicle that you have to rely on RIGHT NOW. Makes a big difference in your whole state of mind.

Yes that avatar always puzzled me too. I never heard of an Autoped, now I want one. Of course I would sandblast it and paint it Henna Red.
