Still wanting for the frame to get painted. So I sandblasted and painted the rims, hubs and exhaust. Can't wait to get this scoot together and ride.

Thanks Vader, just can't wait, but I'm not going to rush the painter (and piss him off). Still, much better off than a year ago (3/19/14) when I had my second back surgery and was laid up for 8 weeks. Building that Super was the only thing that kept me from going bonkers.

I clipped a junky a few years ago. They walked out in front of me despite the micron and a double blast of the horn. Had half forgotten about it. Got this today. Dear or oh dear

They want to take away your no claim bonus for a teensy-weensy little claim like that? Bastards.
Hey does anyone know for sure if SIP remove the German VAT from the advertised price when you place an order? I had a feeling they do but didn't want to place an order to find out. |

showed my roommate my now running rally 200. He asked me to get this old yamaha 100cc 2 stroke running. said he'd pay me $10 an hour real time. He provides parts and tools. sounds like fun.

Did you clip the Dude on your scoot or cage? You should have backed up and had another go. $155, 811.77 is one hell of a clip job. Thank god you had insurance.

On the scooter. You can't legally ride over here without insurance so no choice really. Talked to a guy in work today that worked for an insurance company. Said a good 20 grand or so would have went to the skag head. The rest would have been Pissed away on legal fees

Last weekend I went on a rally with the Wild Dog Creek SC, there were about 40 odd scooters. I was the only one with a pillion and I had a tent, 2 sleeping bags, clothes, extra fuel etc. We did about 100k's through some nice country although the roads were a bit rough at times. Coming down a hill and over a creek I felt the rear brake dragging. It didn't seem to free up as we were coming up the other side, so I pulled over to check it out.
![]() ![]() ![]() Ended up with a bent driveshaft, wrecked bearing... just lucky I didn't end up on my arse testing the kevlar... |

Looks like a nice ride G.. you already shared the hub pics w/ me, and I still think that's nuts! I'm glad it wasn't an injury type disaster.. but I'd never seen one like that.. you see something new every day..
I'm glad you had fun up until that point though! ... today I... .. had noticed my P was acting funny.. so I inspect and find I can see little bubbles at the rear base of the reed block.. the gasket had finally failed.. So I took the block off (S&S 35mm block) and swapped it for an MRP (less parts), put new reeds in (It seems like I just did this, but the edges on one of the reeds were already fraying at the leading edge) .. then I tapped the MPR block for a fuel pump fitting (I had planned to dump the pump on this bike, but was too lazy at this point to re-do my fuel line setup. I didn't want to pull the tank! ![]() bit of a PITA but it's all good and needed a a reed petal anyway. |
