Speed oh's....
Today I passed my Module 1. You may recall last time I failed by going 1mph to slow through the speed trap. This time he said he would've failed me if I'd gone any faster.
No fucking pleasing some people...... Stay tuned for Module 2 next week (if you can be arsed) |

Yesterday I had to take some sand paper to the carb float which had some excess plastic around the edge preventing it from functioning. Kicked it over for the first time in over a year and it started right up.
I'm also in the process of getting a title (again). Gave up last year because there was so much paperwork and other, more important priorities. Gonna get legal this year! Ever seent a Rhino Lined Rally? https://denver.craigslist.org/mcy/5056366445.html ![]() ![]() ![]() Paint now stronk. |

It's a truck bed liner that hillbillies use in the States, called Rhino. A hard plastic coating that saves paint from being scratched.
It's also notorious for trapping rust. If there's any rust on the steel, it grows under the plastic. You end up with a plastic eggshell and dust underneath... until it cracks apart. Putting aside my liking for original bikes... I wouldn't touch that with your wallet. |

Good job Megan! I know you've had it out there for a while and it's not what ppl here are usually looking for. But perfect as a beginner bike for someone who's never shifted before. It's a hard to find in good condition and smart looking J model(Lambretta smallie?) ...if you like purple .
NOW you have room for more... |

She is a beginner. Her boyfriend has a lambretta large frame. She wanted a ruckus until she set eyes on the little j. Its perfect for her. I have wanted to sell this bike for a year or more but with the title not being available until this month it was a hard sell. A mutual friend in seattle said something about this bike to her and she had to have it. I am so glad it is at a good home. Selling a bike to another scooter person is very comforting. Selling a bike to a non-scooter person was weird! My modern went to a non-scooter person and it was the hardest thing ever. I do see it around town though. He has since sold it to someone else. Any who now we have room for the 50n Voodoo!!!

Took the li150 out for a spin yesterday....without a plug wrench. Duhhhhh. Put down about 30 or 40 miles and stopped for a drink. Go to kick it over and head for home, and it won't start..... It seems the plug unscrewed itself while parked! Lol. Luckily, I was only about two miles from home and finger tight was good enough!

Josh I measured roughly 1750 with the steering locked so it'll be a bit more if the steering is straight. I doubt the cops would worry about your tailgate being down. Brumbies are cool. Years ago I had a Sportswagon. Drove it right up and down the coast camping. Loved it. I sold it to my brother when I went travelling and the dickhead drove it into a tree on his mate's farm and killed it.

I think those Luke-Skywalker seats in the original Brat (US) gave the Feds fits. When they brought it back as the Baja, I was hoping for the back seats, but no. Baja is four-door, however - less truckbed length.

Dang Gaz, sorry to hear. Seizing a freshly built engine is a major bummer. What exactly happened?
As a mechanic once told me, there's a fine line between "broken in" and "broken". Chin up, hopefully the damage won't be too bad. On the bright side, that new foot rest looks awesome. |

Chin up, hopefully the damage won't be too bad. On the bright side, that new foot rest looks awesome. As to "what happened", I was coming off a long carpool overpass linking the 405 south to the 55 north. I was off-throttle, because it was down hill, I was just getting ready to pull the clutch to coast, and blip the throttle to lube the cylinder, when the rear locked up. I was at about 65mph. Had the clutch in after only a quick 'chirp' from the skidding tire. Then got stuck in the center of the highway again. CHP had to stop traffic so I could get to the outside shoulder. I got it to start, but not idle. Rode it to work. Going to pull the head in a few mins. The temp said 365 degrees F. Much lower than I expected for an issue to appear. ![]() Aluminum dust...
