I just snagged a clean used alloy Pinasco kit and now I'm thinking I only want to use it on an autolube motor. Do you guys think that would help when I have to deal with situations like this? Turned out I don't have to do 1200km in the brumby as my uncle is picking up the beater px200.. happy dayzz
My brumby has done nearly five hundred thousand kms so I wasn't keen on stressing it anyway |

No L's
Today I passed my Module 1 bike test with no faults so now I have a full bike license and no more jumping through a million fucking hoops to obtain one... Time to give the 'L' plates a Viking Funeral. It was interesting taking the test on on 600cc Yamaha but they're not for me....
So.....anyone got a spare back rest for a PX? |

Today we visited V oodoo. We did a horse trade of sorts.
V oodoo got some pretty cool new bits and pieces and a mostly complete bike. We took the 50/r off his hands. Now we are packed and going to Inland Invasion in Idaho to play for the weekend.

Oh Hell Yeah! I love me some horse trading, they get a running smallie w/ crap brakes & no lite bulbs(will they work?) for running around the campground on the only 9" wheels around and I get a HUGE pile of stuff they don't need now but will prob wish they'd hung on to half of later on including most of a battered, but totally rust free Allstate roundtail.
Among the treasures I sorted thru after they left for Idaho, I found the long lost 3rd piece missing link mudguard for the 'alternate' costume on my VB1. Two-tone is back!

Yeah that front fender came from the bike in our strawberry patch as a planter. I'm so glad you like your new to you goodies. We will do some campsite rear brake repairs and I will be riding the campground on 9" tires.

In that situation the temp is not the seizing factor. |

Looks in good nick Josh for 1/2 a million kms. A mate of mine that lifted his chewed through CVs even faster. I didn't know you could drop a WRX in them. Could be scary. You wouldn't want to crash it at speed being a monocoque body. You wouldn't get your money back on it either. I'd just enjoy it for what it is. Do I sound like your dad?

Dan fixed the rear brake on the 50/r at the Idaho rally last night. He is going to ride it in the gymkhana soon. I need to get my hands on a long arm clutch cover so I can ride it. It's a great little scoot.

Replaced a gear cable in the GS today. housing split and I don't have a spare, had to pull the tank to line things back up and feed the cable through. Should last through next weekend but clearly a cable set is in my near future. Also moved the front tire to the rear and put a new tire on the front. Changed the oil and spark plug. All stuff I should have done a year ago.

Saw an electric motorcycle on the street for the first time. Not a scooter but a big proper bike. He was quiet and fast, I was loud and slow.
And received a package from China. An LED headlight but not the type I ordered. My first ebay dispute. Yay. |

The manifold was a bit too big and needed sanding and filing. Gah. |

Riding home from work today I BROKE MY CLUTCH CABLE, literally as I coasted into the driveway... I guess if it's going to break that's when you want it to happen.
Speaking of broken cables... I'm pretty sure I have the wrong cables for my levers. My levers have a big hole, and the cable ends are a lot smaller (see red dot below). I'm assuming I need the cables with the brass thing that the cables go through that fits inside the bigger hole. I just don't know what to call that brass thing, or exactly what cables work with it. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I wish I knew the answer to that one. It really bugs me that it's such a loose fit. Maybe you're supposed to use one of these (but I seem to remember trying one once and the cable end wouldn't fit)

Yeah those barrels take a clutch cable with a big fat, short tapered "cone" on the end.. Hence the bevel in the silver barrel.
