I thought you were real gent. or was that a real ....? Its not like you are giving anyone special attention... you bag us ALL ('specially if we have dumb questions that have been covered so many times the search function can see them coming if they ever went there) & we accept & love you for what(ever) you are. Shit, Monit & RetroGuy still come here & I have a wee feeling they may have got a hard time to start with as well. Was it the posts about the Magpies? I hear they can play for crap!

It had blown it's seal or something funky so Fournales sent me a couple spare valve stems with built in filters.

Cleared out some space in my attic plus parked some bikes that are on hold for rebuild/tuning. Next plan is to build mobile shelving.

Thanks Astro.. I WAS happy earlier today when I did that.. THEN the tide turned as I went to the DMV and registered my new-to-me LiSpecial. $448.00 FOUR HUNDRED AND FOUTY EIGHT bucks! F'in racket! They're robbing me/us blind here in CA.. they've got me on the hook for 5 bikes now.. and where are my roads paved with gold? I swear!.. grumble grumble grumble..
So much for my Paint the P fund.. just went down the drain and into the CA coffers. It's a friggin' scooter for cryin' out loud.. not even a daily driver.. grumble grumble I swear! AGAIN! ok vent over. |

Hey Chris, good news about the Fournales, sorry to hear you got bent over by the DMV.
On the bright side, (1) you're legal and (2) you have a whole year before the next outrageous registration fee is due. |

Today we start tearing down the 50r. The headset is getting replaced and a long arm clutch cover too. Taking the new headset and wheels to the powder coater and when diagnosing the ET3 we found out why it was burping gasoline. Here's some pictures. We are going to do a reed valve on the ET3 I guess. ☺️
The red tube points to the problem spot.

V oodoo will hopefully like this post.
We polished the 50 and put on some new rubber bits. Put the floor rubber back on good and snug. Added the rear badge and are now taking off the tires and rear hub. I need a long arm clutch arm installed. The rims and new headset are going to the powder coater. This is a clean little bike V oodoo! After going through the ET3 and all the gunk it's pleasant to deal with a clean scooter.
