V oodoo wrote: Scooterrorist wrote: bit confused who this belongs to? you need banning from vespa forums!!! now I want a lambretta!!!!! one of the best I've seen, have a drink on me Voodoo.. I do ride it.. I've got wide angle gopro video putting down the streets at the Jammy but it's boring. On my xmas list is a little "stedi-cam" / gyro-rig they make for iphones and gopro.. Helmet mount.. I'd be better off w/ the iphone on a rig like that because I could zoom in and it's still be "steady".. Pet peeve w/ gopro is the wide angle.. You have to be right on somoen's ass to get a decent framing.. Otherwise it's just tiny scooters and boring.. I would like to do a run w/ the camera mounted all around the body of the bike to get some intersting angles at least , but I sold all my mounts including the useful suction cup mount. Some day. Speaking of cutdowns.. I'm still collectng parts for my P re-do but just blew what was the beginning of my stash on registration of lammy 2 (not all that interesting.. Just a white Li150 Special. Problem with buying a bike that's already done is it's no fun for me.. In hind sight I should have bought another basket case so I could start my build from scratch.. That's the majority if the fun.. The build. For me anyway. I may sell it in the near future and buy a project instead. |

Today I finally received an LED headlight from China I ordered weeks ago. First impressions are good, almost exact same diameter as the old one. I'll have to wait until the weekend to fit it.
Josh, I like the look of that project. Interested to see where it goes.

Looks good. But I think it needs to be narrower towards the tip. Tapered like you had it the first time.

BackFire
Rode down to 'BackFire' gathering in Ballard last night(monthly in the Summer). Hundreds of iron motorcycles, most modified, a few dozen plastic Japanese or Italian rockets, maybe a dozen scooters and only half of them shifty Vespas. Big Harleys of all stripes prevailed, with lots of old Brit bikes and cafe builds of all kinds.
Still a great show with 3 blocks of the curb spaces full of eye candy. Some of the design & workmanship was incredible, regardless of what kinda bike it was on you had to admire. Here are two I think fit in here and I wish I also had a pic of the Monkey Ward 'Riverside' 125cc motorcycle made by Benelli in superb original condition with a couple of hundred miles on it.
want want want
heh heh, cupholders both sides
Some of us scooter ppl were looking at this, wondering what it was made from
we got quite excited when we spotted a Piaggio mark cast on the motor
what is this thing, anybody?

Wouldn't that chopper burn up without a shroud over the cylinder?
I mean he rode it there, so there's that but seems like it'd run hot. |

Nope. I asked & it's out in the open w/ no side cowl over it so gets lots of fresh air in addition to what's coming out the blower. The TT CHT confirms w/ a max indicated in the mid 200's.
