Does it latch closed anymore Vader?

My seat post has been out the whole time I've owned mine. I'm about ready to put it back in now .

No.. these seats don't latch closed.. even before modification. they just rest on two rubber buffers.. there's no latch on any of these SC Ancillotti seats.

Then I'm totally with the trend 8) .

I think it's growing on me...

it's grown on me so much I may do the same thing to the small frame version I should have in my hands in an hour or two... and use this one on the Super

Ok.. I got the new seat.. it's a beauty and will fit really nicely.. now I just have to decide whether or not to cut it too.. I may try it 1st w/o then cut it.. I think it would really make the Perfect cutback.. then I'll use the other one on the super.. I have to recuperate from cutting the 1st one..

The bracket that comes w/ the small frame version doesn't fit my bike though OF COURSE because it's the early frame.. it's more for ET3 and Primis.. but that doesn't bother me, I don't need to use it anyway.. I just let the seat rest on the rubber buffers.. they sit lower that way anyway..

too many choices now. I'm gonna ride this one for a while. but again, the new one is damn nice too.. and it is shorter.. I have high hopes for it, as is.. or cut like I did the Sprint/Super version.

I was gonna put it on, but I held it up next to the bike and can see it's going to fit nicely.. they're very nice seats.. I've no regrets.. and the one on my Super still looks new after a couple/few thousand miles.. very well made.

Does anyone have a Kytronic they are not using? They appear to be out of stock everywhere.

I tried to order one from SIP at the beginning of August and it went backordered. I got an email from them at the end of August that, "This item is unavailable."

No timeframe on when it might be back in stock, so I'm thinking to try the Kheper instead.

I like the idea of the Kheper but it's fairly pricey. Yes I did. When I broke down on the way to Adelaide I took it off to see if that was the issue. I've been waiting for it to turn up but I've given up hope that it's underneath something... it's probably quietly breaking down off the side of the road about 500 k's away.

I was making some adjustments to my wiring and emptied out the glovebox where I have my battery... noticed something stuck in the corner with the rest of the grime. Guess what it was?



It's not meant to work like that. Normally to find your old thing you need to buy a new one. At which point the old one turns up.

Well spotted, i sometimes wonder what is hiding in th deep dark depths of PTPX's glovebox

Nice Ginch! Pays to look in there every once in a while. We found a Bic pen, a nickel, and the vin plate in ours.

My P glovebox looks like the girl from The Breakfast Club's purse.. I've got melted Reeses peanut butter cups in there, assorted coins, fuses, keys to my old house, keys to something I have no idea what they go to, a couple packets of Vitamin C powder that have hardened solid, little pieces of fuel line, zip ties, a crunched Kit-Kat bar and a bunch of other crap, spare bits and then a tool bag.

nearly lost ne headlight lens on me way to work .... luckily it flapped down n it reflected back at me so i had chance to pull over n pull it off ..... ooeerr .... glad im a joiner so plenty of gun a nail laying around so stuck it back in .....
dont clean the reflector with white spirit the silver will vanish

For a man that keeps his engine so clean this is pretty much astounding .

It has been noticed that even though your scooters are spotless, your fingernails could use some work! That's the price of cleanliness I guess!

fingernails can be easily cleaned just by making a loaf of bread.

U guys are funny..

... and I've scrubbed my nails w/ a nail brush 'till they're raw.. Sometimes the grease/dirt just won't come out.. It's ok.. I'm not doing much hand modeling these days anyway.

Today I realized that after a rebuild the Lambretta won't go into 4th gear. It simply does not exist. Bloody marvelous that is.
