Got hit while filtering. So don't really have a leg to stand on. Poor attention on the part of me and the other guy. I'll possibly axe the tool box. Get a panel better mate to hammer the leggy and muddy. Might fibreglass over the indicators and do bar ends instead. If it'll cost too much to fix the panels I'll replace

Oh man, Jack! Good to hear you are OK.
Have you considered doing a cutty like bitza's old T5? |
|

Not done considering the possibility. Might happen. If the leggy can't be straightened that's what will happen. If rather not cut it if I can avoid. Rust free mk1 squaretail frames are getting harder and harder to find
If it comes to too much I'll try source a px frame and bung engine and such into that. Try get some extended forks and a peanut tank |

saddening
i wouldnt cut it if it can be avoided .... youd have to drill the spots off the arse n make it a curvy ......
i know i did it for the bull but i didnt have the right headset at the time .... i did pass the arse on though shame ya not over here me mates just imported a spanish rust free frame for a lad that no longer wants it |

That's a pity alright. Think the Spaniards are the only ones without rotten arses now. Our weather is quick to rust them up. Id say it can be straightened anyway. A friend is a panel beater so I won't be too fucked on labour. Id have him knock it into shape and run it battered but it'd rust up in a matter of weeks where the paint is missing

Ya Jack, I'm all for preserving the original frame if possible.
Scooter Center has a LML T5 frame set but it could be a pain to register the frame since they are unstamped. |

Ricky Cantley here on NSM had similar but worse damage on his Jacko, looks a million dollars now. He said the bodywork was £280.

Yeah saw those frames.Mr j. Really cool.id need a new set of forks for it too. Wrong fork with a t5 front end. I had looked earlier to do the maths. If the paint is good enough that it wouldn't need painting that's not bad. A good paint job would cos nearly as much
Thanks for that ginchy. A friend does panel and paint. So I'm hoping I won't be fucked too badly on it. I might get one of those glovebox panels. Mount a spare ss90 fashion |

Jon Gick is dah man
Today, I unloaded my P200 after I brought it home from Gickspeed on Saturday. I took my first brief ride (the roads in MI are still a little salty, but I couldn't resist) after Jon Gick hooked me up with a set of teflon-lined shifter cables, a new oil tank, fuel valve and control lever, and an OE muffler that he had Jet-Hot powdercoated to keep looking nice. No oil leaks, it shifts like butter, it sounds a lot more tranquil than with the prior Sito+, and the fuel shut-off works like a charm--which couldn't be said of the previous OE plastic bits. Jon also doled out some very cool freebies: a Gickspeed sweatshirt and a handful of equally cool stickers to cover up the flaked-off paint spots on my silver '77. Thanks, again, Jon! Highly recommended to all Mid-West NSMs!

Helped a friend buy his first Vespa. Project needs plenty of little odds and ends and labor but it should be fun to teach someone how to work on scoots.
