I've just installed 10.5g sliders in my 250 (website said 10 to 10.5g was recommended).

1st impressions were WOW, it's like shit off a shovel!!

But then i got on the highway where it got to 9500rpm very quick and the rev limiter kicked in at approx 68mph whereas it used to do 80mph (indicated).

I have since read on here that others have fitted 12g.

I have some rollers that i can stick in for long highway trips, so it's not a massive issue, but wondered if changing the contra spring on the clutch would have any levelling effect (bit less off the mark - bit more top speed)?

Thanks Maksor

I think i'll leave as is then (most of my riding is non-highway) and fit heavier rollers when i'm mile crunching.

Any thoughts on changing the clutch spring, would this make any difference.
