Hi this thing will now tick over but dies after 2 mins no reaction to throttle
there is an electric connect to the carb a Walbro WVF-G what is this for ?
I have changed the plug and cleaned the carb
any ideas gratefully received

That's the auto-choke. It's usual failure mode is ON, as if the engine was still cold. This could be your problem, so check it. The X9 125 manual isn't terrific, so see the explanation in say, the BV 125 workshop manual.

The other thing to eliminate is your valve clearances - they are the number one reason for these Leader engines to have problems starting and cold running.

In reply to your email (please keep topics on the forum and away from private email) - the resistance of the auto-choke for the Walbro carb should be ~40 ohms according to the manuals, so ~43 ohms is fine.
