Modern Vespa

On my GTS 300 with the double indicator bulbs. Anyone able to tell me how the indicator bulbs come out of their holders. I'm not sure if they are pull or twist off and I'm scared I will break them if I'm too rough.

Twist to the left a quarter turn and pull out.

Actually I went back and just pulled-they are not the twist type.

That's because they were not placed correctly in the first place. I usually use a microfiber cloth to allay my fears of breaking the bulb.

Mine are the twist kind. I am sorry to have misled you. You didn't break anything, did you?

... from now on please disregard anything I say. I am stuck and it is pouring outside, the AC is too high, I am shivering, etc. Maybe I should post this in a different thread. I will go to the 'what's pissing me off thread'

Maybe there's some difference between the euro and US models. Here's a pic I took of my rear GTS bulbs - indicator on the right if I remember rightly, which is a push fit as Ashbrook said. Push turn fit on the left.

That protrusion is there to hold the bulb in place whether you are in the States or EU.

However - EU and US lamp clusters are nearly *all* different for some reason. Hence all the 'Euro turn signal' modification posts...

Yup, I knew that, which is why I said 'push turn fit' in my post...

Yes our domestic light bulbs are similar so we know of these. The push fir bulbs are more uncommon. My issue was not twisting a push fit or (even worse) vice versa. Sorted now and I've had them in and out loads of time once I was confident I wouldn't bust them trying. It was because I was fitting LED turn signals and having LED running lights as well
