CDWISE-

The tire you need is a hard tire to find in a hurry. I'm putting this on a couple of sites, to make sure you see it today. If you haven't gotten a tire locked down by today, here's something you can do to almost guarantee you will have a backup tire by the start of the race.
Because of the Holiday, anything like a tire bought online today through Monday won't ship until Tuesday at the earliest, and it has to be somewhere where there is a support truck heading to Canada, when the truck is there.
On Amazon and Ebay, if you put in the size you are looking for, there are a couple options that offer fast shipping. One of them is selling the Heidenau K66 and the other one has the Power Pure. I was surprised at how hard it is to find the 130/80-15 in anything.
More than likely, it will be shipped UPS, so you need a seller with a quick fulfillment time, and it has to arrive where it is going prior to the Support Truck leaving. If it's UPS, it will get there in the afternoon. I think we will be at Franks on Thursday, which might work for the sellers shipping out of Michigan, because he's in Omaha, and Team Hawaii may be in Washington on Friday. One of the ebay Power Pure listers is located in Washington, and if it shipped out Tuesday, it would be pretty much anywhere in the state next day, or Thursday at the latest. If Team Hawaii will let you ship it to where they are in Washington, that would work out. Or you can make arrangements to have it shipped to a UPS store and held for you to pick it up on the way North. Logistically, this is a tough one.
Fay Myers offers the Power Pure on ebay, but the listing says this is a special order item and requires additional time to ship. That usually means the don't physically have the tire, and are hoping their supplier does. You want to read the entire listing and order from somebody who physically has the tire in their possession. Get a couple of zip codes and put them in the system at ebay to see where the tire will go fastest. Shipping to a UPS store might be faster, I don't know if they drop off earlier there, or later, so they can do pickups too. You don't want to sit in your truck in front of a UPS store for six hours.
If you call a shop and they say they have the tire you want in stock, ask them go put a hand on it, because a lot of times the system will default to one, and not none, and things get lost, stolen and misplaced over the years.
I hope you get your tire sorted out, and just wanted to offer some options based on my experiences as a serial procrastinator. I know these aren't exactly the tires you are looking for, but if you're in the middle of nowhere and you absolutely need a tire, it's good to have something to put on.

Here's someone with the Heidenau and quick fulfillment and shipping. If you know where you will be on Friday Afternoon, it's a good chance you will have this tire. Because it's down to the wire time, I would definitely get a confirmation by the seller that it will go out on time though. They've got a phone number in their listing, that's usually a good sign. There's also someone on Amazon with the same tire and the same price. Might be the same company.

Thanks Motovista, saw your post on ADVrider first. You are right that finding tires in either the 130/80/15 or 140/70/15 size is far more difficult than one would expect.

According to the Fay Myers website the Michelin City Grip rear in stock 140/70/15 which is what is currently on the Sports City so I know it fits. I'm planning on calling them as soon as they are open today since we will be driving through Denver either Tues evening or Weds morning. If they do in fact have it that is probably what I will do since that would allow us to keep our original travel schedule and spend a day in Breckenridge where most of my colder weather riding gear is located.

AF1racing also show the City Grip in stock on their website but they are closed until Tuesday so I can't confirm they have it.

I'm also going to call the seller of the K66 but they are in Ohio best I can figure out so that might not workout getting them shipped somewhere on route on time. While I'd prefer the K66 for the start until we get past the dirt sections I've had the City Grip on several of our scoots (currently on the Sports City, Scarabeo and BV) it will work and wears much better than the Power Pures currently on my GTS.

I really appreciate the effort you've spent on helping locate a tire for me. I swear I searched ebay last night and didn't find the K66 you found. I thought I was pretty good at searching but guess not as good as I thought, sigh.

Spoke with the ebay guy and he can overnight the tire to Breckenridge so we'd have it there sometime on Weds. He'd have to overnight it to OAD as well and it would get either place the same time with minimal cost difference so if I have it overnighted might as well send it direct to us.

Called Fay Myers and despite what they show on their website they do not have any tires that fit the Sports City in stock. Sportique doesn't open until 10 mountain so I'll call them and see what they have or probably don't have at that time. If none of the Denver dealers have a tire that fits in stock I'll have the K66 overnighted to Breckenridge.

do the K66 anyway as that scoot is normally in Co and the winter tires would be great in late year early spring.

Actually the scoot is now living primarily in Houston since my son is using it as a daily commuter to University of Houston. It used to live in Colorado until he convinced us to let him take to school in California. That's when we added a second BV. Pity the tires for the BV & Sports City aren't the same size.

Anyway, nobody in Denver actually had them in stock. AF1 is closed until Tuesday so I'm having the K66 overnighted to Breckenridge. Hopefully it will come in early enough on Weds for us to get a few hundred miles on the road that afternoon/evening. Otherwise we'll be having some days up to Hyder for two drivers but either way we'll see you there.

Since my son rides in everything except high water, including a few days it has snowed in Houston I suspect he'll get use out of the K66s anyway.

I appreciate the assistance Motovista & OAD.
