The tire you need is a hard tire to find in a hurry. I'm putting this on a couple of sites, to make sure you see it today. If you haven't gotten a tire locked down by today, here's something you can do to almost guarantee you will have a backup tire by the start of the race.
Because of the Holiday, anything like a tire bought online today through Monday won't ship until Tuesday at the earliest, and it has to be somewhere where there is a support truck heading to Canada, when the truck is there.
On Amazon and Ebay, if you put in the size you are looking for, there are a couple options that offer fast shipping. One of them is selling the Heidenau K66 and the other one has the Power Pure. I was surprised at how hard it is to find the 130/80-15 in anything.
More than likely, it will be shipped UPS, so you need a seller with a quick fulfillment time, and it has to arrive where it is going prior to the Support Truck leaving. If it's UPS, it will get there in the afternoon. I think we will be at Franks on Thursday, which might work for the sellers shipping out of Michigan, because he's in Omaha, and Team Hawaii may be in Washington on Friday. One of the ebay Power Pure listers is located in Washington, and if it shipped out Tuesday, it would be pretty much anywhere in the state next day, or Thursday at the latest. If Team Hawaii will let you ship it to where they are in Washington, that would work out. Or you can make arrangements to have it shipped to a UPS store and held for you to pick it up on the way North. Logistically, this is a tough one.
Fay Myers offers the Power Pure on ebay, but the listing says this is a special order item and requires additional time to ship. That usually means the don't physically have the tire, and are hoping their supplier does. You want to read the entire listing and order from somebody who physically has the tire in their possession. Get a couple of zip codes and put them in the system at ebay to see where the tire will go fastest. Shipping to a UPS store might be faster, I don't know if they drop off earlier there, or later, so they can do pickups too. You don't want to sit in your truck in front of a UPS store for six hours.
If you call a shop and they say they have the tire you want in stock, ask them go put a hand on it, because a lot of times the system will default to one, and not none, and things get lost, stolen and misplaced over the years.
I hope you get your tire sorted out, and just wanted to offer some options based on my experiences as a serial procrastinator. I know these aren't exactly the tires you are looking for, but if you're in the middle of nowhere and you absolutely need a tire, it's good to have something to put on.
Here's someone with the Heidenau and quick fulfillment and shipping. If you know where you will be on Friday Afternoon, it's a good chance you will have this tire. Because it's down to the wire time, I would definitely get a confirmation by the seller that it will go out on time though. They've got a phone number in their listing, that's usually a good sign. There's also someone on Amazon with the same tire and the same price. Might be the same company.
