Greetings!
I installed SOS Priority Plus and Lites for my MP3 500 for more safer appeal on the road. The SOS Priority Lites make the two front turn signal lights to be turn signal with running lights future. The SOS Priority Plus make the two rear turn signal lights to be turn signals with running lights future also to be an extra stop lights with pulse future.

I also upgraded LED light bulbs for two sets of stop and tail lights. This up grades make MP3 much more recognizable while driving on the road and especially when you are stopping.

For using LED lights bulbs: I contacted SOS priority and spoke with "Doug" since there was small concern about LED bulbs. Doug was very kind and detail, he explained me that there will be 50/50 chance with combination using LED because LED are not DOT rated and there are always an electric currency there even lights is not on. I purchased high quality LED 1156 bulbs and tail bulbs and I set all up with the original bulbs and make sure everything works and then swapped with LED's to assure all circuits works.

Now running with all four turn signals as running lights and two rear lights are function as tail and stop lights with pulse. Addition to much brighter tail and stop light. It works so well. (note: Rear turn signal bulb's color has to be red color not yellow or amber when function as stop lights. Please check you local state for the law and regulations)

Installation Difficulty Level 5
(Level 1=You can open cold beer bottle, Level 5=You can hand saw Vespa logo patch on jeans jacket, Level 10=You can fix refrigerator) Lol!

My son has something like that on his bike, may be the same, have to check, anyway it makes an unbelievable difference. It really catches your attention when behind him and he stops or turns. I was wishing they had something like it for mp3s. His rear turn signals are red now and pulse before turning solid red when stopping, they (turning lights) stay on red while driving like running lights. Very bright now, even in daylight.

You are definitely correct in wanting better visibility for the MP3 scooter line.

I used LED strips and spliced into the regular light wiring to enhance my lighting. The turn signals are especially visible from the sides and at 45 degrees, and even at 90 degrees.

I have a similar setup on the fronts too.

Sounds good in theory but in my opinion wasted money. The turn signals are just too small to be an effective increase in visible "size".
Now the LED taillight mod is definitely better as it is much brighter than stock.

SANOGEO1 Thank you for your information.
I used SOS Priority Plus for my other bike 1982 CBX full dress. It was installed before LED light became popular like now days. I felt scooter has body shell and wanna emphasize big body so I installed SOS units. But your son's mods may be cool choice. Like using LED with brake pulsation unit BackOFF XP Brake Light. This will do just like your son's bike. But if he is using different mods it will be appreciated if you could let me know for my information. This BackOFF unit works all LED that they said.

HoneyBadger WOW! Awesome lighting!! That's what I am talking about. Looks so cool!! It's like world of Star Wars^^ Thank you for the video post and photo.
Your lighting mods also remind me where some of trucks in Japan decorate their wheel with lights mods, they are not road regal but cool staff, you can look the link. I think your mods will make all driver around you pay more attention. Ya-y!

Japanese Trucks lighting mods.

BubbaJon Yeap Thank you for your post. I see your point. But since I use rear turn signal as extra brake lights with pulsation, I made front turn signal lights as running lights. It's looks match and cool so^^ But YES! LED lights are so bright! Amazing^^ I am so happy about this. If you don't wanna go for turn signal lights as running lights, BackOFF brake pulsation with LED brake lights could be other choice. Cheers!

Turn Indicator Mode
I added a pair of Lite N' Bolts and a couple of cheap radio shack buzzers to my MP3 250. Used a pigtail to connect to each front turn indicator and then soldered a Lite N' Bolt LED and a buzzer to each pigtail. Buzzer is behind the cowling (attached to a frame bar) and the LED is installed through the cowling. Now I have both visual and audible indication of turn signal activity.
